Vice President, Education

Position Summary 

The Tech Museum of innovation is looking for the right person to take its education efforts to an entirely new level. The Vice President will have three areas of responsibilities:

1. Directing a new center, The Center for Technology and Learning.

2. Directing The Tech's internal education programs

3. Directing The Tech's external education programs.

If you can manage and inspire a large staff, have a passion for helping young people of diverse backgrounds engage with STEM, and understand, are thrilled with, and can be persuasive about the capacity of technology to improve learning, you are the right person to apply for this position. The Tech is on the move and this position will play a key role in sustaining our momentum and accomplishing our mission.

Responsibilities or Duties 
Directing a new center, The Center for Technology and Learning.
Directing The Tech’s internal education programs.
Directing The Tech’s external education programs.

Requirements or Key Qualifications 
Bachelor’s degree in related field, Master’s, Ph.D. preferred.
Experience with Education Technology.
Experience with managing partnerships.
Teaching experience at the K-12 level.
Experience with and ability to embrace cutting-edge and non-traditional methods of learning.
Deep understanding of educators needs and state standards.
Strong understanding of and passion for science and technology.
Fundraising or grant writing experience.
Performance management experience.
