Explore "Invention @ Play" – a new exhibit celebrating the roots that becoming an inventor has in playing, tinker in the IDEA House – unique floor programs that will spark your ingenuity and creativity, and watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on the giant IMAX dome screen. "Invention @ Play" What do the inventors behind Post-it Notes®, Kevlar®, Velcro® and the microwave oven have in common with children|@ Play! Play and its connection to the innovative mind are now open for exploration at The Tech. "Invention at Play" focuses on the similarities between the way children and adults play and the creative processes used by innovators in science and technology. IDEA House How can you design tools to make your life easier and more exciting|@ Find out by visiting IDEA House, a fun space for museum floor programs filled with hands-on activities and challenges to put your ideas into overdrive. Design contraptions to spice up delivery of snacks from the kitchen to the couch, devise a Fido Fling that will save you from having to play fetch with your dog over and over, and a lot more. Pick up an activity kit to continue innovating at home. Charlie & The Chocolate Factory Charlie & The Chocolate Factory is the tastiest IMAX film ever! Acclaimed director Tim Burton and Academy Award winner Johnny Depp have collaborated to bring the story to life. Join Charlie as he explores the factory of eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka, and all his sweet inventions. Additional information Tickets to The Tech Museum of Innovation's galleries and IMAX are $10, $8 and $7 each for general admission, seniors and children, respectively. Combo tickets (galleries and one IMAX film) are available for $16, $15, $13 for general admission, seniors and children, respectively.
