WHAT: The Bay Area premiere of STAR TREK®: THE EXHIBITION opens at The Tech Museum on Oct. 23rd, 2009 showcasing the largest collection of authentic Star Trek sets, costumes, props and priceless museum pieces ever put on public display. The exhibition, spread across 15,000-square-feet, features more than 200 artifacts stretching from all five television series to 11 feature films. Fans will enjoy an authentic replica of the bridge from the U.S.S Enterprise NCC-1701 as featured in the original Star Trek television series, hop aboard a full-motion ride Starfleet shuttle for a thrilling flight through the solar system or prepare to "beam up" to the iconic transporter room - and much more. As a special bonus, we are excited to present "Star Trek: The IMAX Experience" in conjunction with the exhibition. The film was released this year and is now one of the top 50 highest grossing films of all time as well as the highest grossing "Star Trek" film ever released.
