The Tech Museum Hosts San Jose's First IMAX Film Festival

"The Best of the Big Films" brings 15 films to IMAX Dome Theater October 4 - 6 Experience IMAX larger than life, October 4-6 as The Tech Museum of Innovation hosts its first ever IMAX Film Festival. 15 of the world's most popular IMAX films will appear for three days only, many of which have never been shown in the Bay Area. The Festival lineup includes some of the top grossing IMAX films in the world, Academy Award nominees, and exciting new films. Don't miss your chance to not only see these films, but to experience them in the state-of-the-art Hackworth IMAX® Dome Theater. The theater features an eight-story, giant domed screen and six-channel, digital wrap-around sound with 12,000 watts of power from 44 speakers. It seats 295 people in special reclining chairs that accentuate the feeling of being "in" the movie. Experience the thrill of many films that have never before been shown in the South Bay. Go behind the scenes and get personal with Sheryl Crow, Dave Matthews, B.B. King, Carlos Santana, Macy Gray and more in ALL ACCESS: Front Row, Backstage, Live! India: Kingdom of the Tiger leads viewers on a journey through India, as seen through the eyes of one of India's most mysterious and compelling animals - the tiger. Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees chronicles Dr. Goodall's more than 40 years of legendary work among the chimps at Gombe Park on Lake Tanganyka in Africa. Space Station, narrated by Tom Cruise, offers an astronaut's view of the largest construction project in our universe: the building of the International Space Station. Back by popular demand, the Film Festival will showcase two of the largest grossing IMAX films of all time: Everest and Living Sea.
