We all need to exercise our imaginations. Playing with technology is a great way to stretch your mind and prepare yourself to be an innovator of tomorrow. Imagination Playground, a new exhibition created by The Tech, features unique high-tech play experiences that'll give your imagination a workout!

Space Station: Taking you to the heart of the action as daring astronaut construction crews put together the largest structure ever assembled in space. Float alongside the men and women who inhabit the station while they set up house, add modules and perform scientific experiments.
Mysteries of Egypt: Following the burial and subsequent rediscovery of the fabled Tutankhamen. Float down the Nile, soar over the Valley of the Kings and explore the latest discoveries on the construction of the pyramids.
Wild California: Take an adventurous trip through the Golden State as you snowboard down mountains, twirl on clouds and swim through the Pacific.
August 24: Dolphins Returns to the IMAX
In conjunction with the Commonwealth Club, Silicon Valley and the Dolphin, Whale & Marine Wildlife Foundation, The Tech will hold a special screening of Dolphins, along with an appearance by Dean Bernal, who is featured in the film. October: Mes Nacional de la Herencia Latina, National Hispanic Heritage Month
The Tech celebrates the diversity of our community with month-long showings of the IMAX films, Mexico and Space Station (in Spanish), and a special exhibit highlighting the achievements of Hispanic astronauts.

Starting October: IMAX Adventure Traveler Series
Travel the world without leaving San Jose. Over the next three months, enjoy the sights and sounds of three diverse cultures and landscapes. Each "trip" begins at 6 p.m. with a sampling of food and music from a select destination. Continue in the IMAX Dome Theater, where a special speaker and screening of the following films complete your "journey." October 19: KTEH Imagination Day at The Tech
Join KTEH Ch54 Public Television for a day of family fun, exploration, discovery, and learning. Characters from KTEH children's programs will present four unique 15-minute sessions, encouraging 5 to 12 year-old children to "use their imaginations through story-telling". The 15-minute programs will run continually from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Free with paid admission.
October 24, 25, 26: Smithsonian Voices of Discovery
In partnership with Smithsonian Magazine and the Smithsonian Institution, San Jose and The Tech will host a series of discussions by Dr. James R. Zimbelman, from the National Air and Space Museum's Center for Earth and Planetary Studies. Dr. Zimbelman will present "A Spacecraft Tour of the Solar System," followed by screenings of Space Station, and Q & A. Check www.thetech.org

November 7: The Tech Museum Awards, Technology Benefiting Humanity
Presented by Applied Materials, Inc. Black tie Awards Gala
The Tech Museum Awards is a unique awards program designed to recognize people, companies or organizations which develop or use technology in creative ways to address global challenges and have a high potential of yielding lasting, beneficial impact. The awards honor innovators from around the world in the categories of health, education, environment, economic development and equality.
