Harry Potter Casts a Spell at The Tech Now Through Labor Day
See "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" in The Tech's Hackworth IMAX Dome Theater. This latest installment in the Harry Potter series has been digitally remastered using IMAX technology, offering crystal-clear images and state-of-the-art surround sound for the ultimate movie-going experience. It|!s Harry Potter like you|!ve never seen him before -- eight stories tall with 13,000 watts of digital surround sound!

"SCREAM MACHINES: The Science of Roller Coasters" Exhibit Opens September 18
Scream Machines is a truly interactive exhibit for the thrill-seeker in all of us. Displays, artifacts, and images encourage visitors to understand the physics of roller coasters, and the physiology and psychology of thrill-seeking. Visitors can ride G-Force, conduct experiments to uncover the science of motion, and even build a mini coaster to test physical forces behind design.

Support The Tech By Celebrating the Grand Opening of Century's CineArts Theater at Santana Row on August 26
Join The Tech for the premiere of a major motion picture at the grand opening of the CineArts Theater at Santana Row. Proceeds from this event will benefit The Tech's Education Fund. General admission is $65; $50 for Tech members. For more information visit or 408-795-6107.

Be inspired by Silicon Valley's innovations. Enter your own workshop to design products using microchips, and by programming smart devices. Make an automatic fish feeder, program a Mr. Potato Head, and engineer your own car! Explore the world of microchips and discover the innovator in you. Sponsored by Cadence Design Systems Inc.

Genetics: Technology With A Twist – Now Open
Explore the forefront of emerging genetic technologies by taking on the roles of genetic counselor, scientist and even a policymaker. Understand the new opportunities genetic research has provided, and face personal and social choices that arise from the intimate knowledge of what we are made of. With new Tech Tags, visitors can even grow bacteria in our wet lab, post findings to their very own website, and track their experiment's progress online days later.


CANSTRUCTION Now Through Labor Day
Creative food can exhibits designed and built by local architecture firms are in The Tech's lobby. This is a community service project where all the cans used will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank. Join the fun as we "CANSTRUCT a world without hunger." Don't miss "Engineer It!," a new traveling exhibit through September 6.

"Forces of Nature" Now Playing
Experience the blood pumping action when the ground shakes, mountains explode and the sky turns black and violent in "Forces of Nature." Narrated by Kevin Bacon, this film showcases three scientists striving to understand the origins and behavior of natural disasters -- putting their own lives in danger in the process.

"India: Kingdom of the Tiger" will take you on a magic ride through this ancient and fast-growing country, examining history and environmental challenges.
