Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey Film Opens January 20
Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey explores rhythm across varied continents and cultures -- guided by the internationally acclaimed performers of the stage hit STOMP. Travel around the world with us to meet artists such as Timbalada of Brazil, the Kodo drummers of Japan, the American Indian Dance Theater, and the Jackie Robinson Steppers of New York. Put your finger on the pulse of global beats. Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey was voted Best Film of the Year at the recent Giant Screen Theater Conference in Montreal.

"Amazing Music Studio" Exhibit Opens January 28
"Amazing Music Studio" is an interactive exhibition that explores the science and fun of making music. Step up to make your own music on an oversized floor-keyboard, sing & dance on a stage, and karaoke in the shower. Also test your skills at a DJ mixing table, and by creating a light and sound shows. "Amazing Music Studio" mixes playful and thoughtful hands-on activities to show that music is as much about technology as it is talent.

Evening Panel Session – Encouraging Girls to Explore "All Things Technical" January 27 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Join the final installment of The Tech's "Conversations with Innovative Women in Technology" series – a discussion with Silicon Valley's leading female technologists to encourage girls to pursue the field of technology. Moderated by Chris Shipley, Executive Producer of DEMO. Tickets are $25 for members of any of the partnering organizations and $40 for non members. Registration at the door will be an additional $10. Children ages 12-18 accompanied by an adult can register at the door for $5.

Tech Challenge Information Clinic January 29 11:00 a.m. - noon or 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Join us as we kick off the 18th annual Tech Challenge – "Battle the Blaze." See what this year's challenge is all about by talking to the Tech Challenge staff, judges and an expert from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Also, meet with past teams and register your team for this year's Tech Challenge.

Be inspired to use the Internet in new ways and reflect on how it is changing your life through this new hands-on exhibit. Participate in a Virtual Arm Wrestle using haptic technology, express yourself by publishing and posting a web site, take a tour around the globe with our amazing world-wide webcams, and so much more. Extend your visit online at home with a TechTag bracelet!

You've seen it in the news, now try it out yourself! Take a ride on the Segway Human Transporter, daily from 2-3 p.m.
*Riders must be over 16 years old and weigh between 100 and 250 pounds*

SBC and The Tech are offering free unlimited gallery admission to the community the second Sunday of every month. This is a great opportunity to explore the technologies impacting your life. Experience new exhibits like "NetPl@net," "Genetics: Technology with a Twist," and so much more!
