Voices of Children Reflected in Flag of Hope
Press Release Date
Friday, 30 August, 2002
Construction is underway on The Tech Museum of Innovation's "Flag of Hope" - an enormous mosaic comprised of the voices of 1,000 children sharing their hopes for the future of technology.
Children, in Bay Area classrooms, community groups and in The Tech, have been drawing pictures, creating stories and writing sentences about their visions for tomorrow on red, silver and blue CDs that will be put together to form a 10'x20' American Flag. Children have been asked to think about:
- How might technology help you in the future?
- What inventions could make life better for you, your family, and/or the world?
- What problems could technology solve?
