Design Challenge Workshop
May 10th, 4:30 - 6:30 pm.
Discover the joys and rewards of hands-on teaching and how to translate these techniques into the classroom. After an introduction to classroom applications and group dynamics, teachers will participate in an interactive science-based design challenge emphasizing innovation.
Workshop is free, but registration is required.

Warming Up: The Science of Climate Change
May 19th, 9 am - 1 pm.
Spend a morning exploring the science of the Earth's climate and the changes occurring on our planet. Participate in hands-on activities designed to help students discover the science behind climate change. Investigate innovations to harness alternative energy sources. Discuss ways to integrate these activities with current curriculum standards and teacher practice.
