“Journey to Space”
Opens Saturday, April 30
Exciting plans are under way for the next giant leap into space: landing humans on Mars. “Journey to Space” will take audiences behind the scenes of the international effort to send astronauts to Mars within the next 20 years. The film is an inspiring reflection on the achievements of NASA’s Space Shuttle program, including the assembly and launch of the International Space Station and the deployment of the Hubble Space Telescope. These missions have taught us how to live, build and conduct science in space, serving as the foundation for future space exploration.
“A Beautiful Planet”
Opens Saturday, June 4
"A Beautiful Planet," narrated by Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, features footage of our home world as captured by astronauts on board the International Space Station. The Earth is a "magnificent blue planet, dotted with gossamer clouds," but it is changing. “From space, the Earth blazes at night with the electric intensity of human expansion across the globe. But it is within our power to protect the planet.”
