Blind Spots

You don't have any rods or cones where the optic nerve connects to your retina. In your eye where the optic nerve connects, you have a blind spot. You can't see the light that hits your blind spot.

Set yourself about 8 inches from the monitor. Cover your left eye; look at the cross. Keep looking at the cross and move slowly forward and backward. Don't move your eyes. At some point the circle will disappear from your vision. You've found your blind spot.

Now, uncross your eyes and take a look at how animals see.
