#4: Turning the Electronic Signal Back into Light
The Space Telescope Science Institute is where all Hubble's scientific operations are controlled. When the electronic signal arrives here, it is sent to powerful computers that can read the digital pulses.
The computers translate the digital signal into a light pattern that can be displayed on a screen, and turned ito a picture. Finally, the light from Galaxy M100, becomes a photograph that will help astronomers decipher the mysteries of the universe.
