What's the problem with Hubble's vision?
blurry, huh? There is no way to repair the Primary Mirror. The mirror is just like the lenses in our eyes. If we have errors in our lenses, we have a vision problem. But we can correct our vision by wearing glasses, or contact lenses that correct for the errors in our natural lenses.

Corrective lenses -- that's what glasses are called -- work for the Hubble Space Telescope too. In 1993, NASA astronauts installed a special instrument inside the Hubble that has tiny mirrors that correct the distorted light from the primary mirror. With these corrective mirrors, perfectly focused light reaches the scientific instruments.
