Attach a piece of wire to each of the screws on one of the bulb holders. Leave the other ends of the wires free.
Take the free ends of one of the wires and attach them to one screw on the other bulb holder. (You should now have a string of bulbs in holders attached by the wires.)
Attach a wire to the remaining screw on the second bulb holder.
Use the masking tape to attach the two free ends of wire to each end of the battery. (The nub at the top and the small dip at the bottom are called "terminals.")
Watch the bulbs light up as you connect the last wire and complete the circuit.
