Step 1. Start an exercise log
A log is a tool to help people keep track of information. You will be using a log to monitor how you feel at three different levels of activity: at rest (the way you feel normally), after exercising, and five minutes after exercising. Make a chart like this one, with room to record your breathing, the feel of your muscles, and your heart beat.
