A collaboration between The Tech Museum of Innovation, Make Magazine, and Pixar Animation Studios, Open Make is a monthly program highlighting the tools, techniques, and ingenuity of local Makers.
For each Open Make, we'll host Maker Workshops, Meet-the-Maker talks, and Young Makers Sessions in our innovative new space, The Tech Studio.
Open Make events are free with museum admission.
Pre-registration is recommended. Walk-ins are welcome when space permits.

Maker Workshops 1-hour workshops start at 10:00 & 11:00 a.m.
Bay Area Makers lead workshops focused on science, technology, and art.
Materials fee for people who want to take their innovations home.

Short talks by Makers who work with kids, Young Makers, and Makers from industry connected to our monthly theme. Followed by a Q&A session.

Young Makers Plussing Sessions 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Showcase for students ages 12-18 who are in Young Makers clubs working on a project for Maker Faire. Learn how to join a Young Makers club.

Young Makers get into the museum for free on Open Make days +1 adult mentor. Additional family members get into the museum at the group rates.
