Giant Cardboard Robots

Makers: Jason Lentz and Ian McCullough, Brisbane, CA

Giant Cardboard Robots are arm extensions that make you look like a cyborg. They are made of dye cut cardboard and cardboard tubes.  Rubber bands and Velcro keep the moving parts in place.

How Does It Work
Grab the wrist tube above the elbow tube and perform as a giant robot.

About the Makers
Jason and Ian both attended Carnegie Mellon University. Jason thought up the idea of Giant Cardboard Robots when he was working late at an architectural studio in college. That night, he quickly built a prototype to test out his idea. That initial idea turned into an art-and-performance project and helped create a community of thousands of cardboard robot enthusiasts.
