Sleep Overs at The Tech Museum

The Tech Museum offers many programs for all ages to enjoy.

Family Sleepover Program
Family sleepovers are a special way to enjoy The Tech Museum after hours. Bring your pj's and sleeping bag and sleep next to your favorite exhibit! We will supply a one-of-a-kind sleepover space plus, you will enjoy a special educational film showing in The Hackworth IMAX Dome Theater. A continental breakfast will be served in the morning.

Fees and Reservations

Sleepover activities are recommended for children age 6 -14
Children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone over 21.

Non-Members   $55.00 per person
Members          $40.00 per person



2010-2011 Girl Scout Programs
Programs designed just for Girl Scout Troops to earn a badge or to visit The Tech Museum with their troop.

Badges - It's all about the badge!
Perfect for girls in grades 4-5 (unless otherwise noted).
Requires a minimum of 10; maximum of 32 unless otherwise noted.

Math Whiz Badge

Count, predict, create and solve math puzzlers then explore our galleries on a Math Hunt to earn your Math Whiz badge.

Time: 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $15 per person

Making it Matter Badge

Practice being an engineer to earn this badge. Explore the science behind electricity, chemistry, materials and structures with our staff of scientists.

Mornings: 10:30-12:30

Afternoons: 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Science Discovery Badge - Sleep at The Tech Museum

Overnight at the museum! Discover Science in a whole new light. Explore radical reactions and cool optical illusions.

Who: Appropriate for Grades 3-6
When: Saturday, February 5, 2011, Sunday, February 6, 2011 and Saturday, June 4, 2011, Sunday, June 5, 2011
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Cost: $55 per girl/$25 per adult
Patch: Patch Included
Capacity: 150 min/200 max

Please Note: One adult chaperone is required for every 5 girls. Fee includes breakfast, Science Discovery Badge, activities, and educational IMAX movie. Parking is an additional charge.

Girl Scout Family Days

Visit with your troop and invite your family and friends along! Girls can enjoy the museum with our self-guided Bookmark Tours. The book marks will take you through the Earth, Life, and Physical Science exhibits.

Who: Girls Grades 3-7
When: Any public operating day during regular hours.
Cost: $7.00 per person (includes museum admission plus one educational IMAX film)
Patch: Not included

Please Note: Requirement of one adult chaperone for every 8 children (Free adult chaperone ticket provided).
