What is a Design Challenge?
Ever wanted to build cool stuff and experience design first-hand?? Then this workshop is for you! Design Challenges are a great way to teach science to all grade levels. They can be very simple (e.g. build the tallest tower using 20 straws and 2 inches of tape) or they can be complicated (e.g. design a solar powered car). During Inspiring Teachers, we will do a Design Challenge, discuss the principles of design, and how to teach using this pedagogy.
