The Annual Fund for Education provides ongoing support to sustain the educational mission of The Tech Museum of Innovation. Individuals and corporations work together to maintain The Tech as a national and international resource. Through exceptional learning programs and hands-on experiences, The Tech's main focus is on innovation and inspiring learning locally, nationally and globally.
Individual gifts help support The Tech's free and discounted Field Trips initiative that is now the cornerstone of broader outreach to teachers who are increasingly utilizing The Tech for hands-on programs that their students do not get in classrooms.
The Tech Museum Matters to Bay Area Young People:
Student visits grew from 74,000 at the launch of the program to over 130,000 today.
More than half of our student visitors come from Title 1 schools.
Over 7,000 teachers are taking advantage of teacher memberships.
We have more than quadrupled the number of students participating in our hands-on science labs.
