An army of arch villains to lay waste to “Wayne Manor” as 500 guests celebrate at Silicon Valley’s biggest premiere party for the summer’s most-anticipated blockbuster

SAN JOSE, CA – In a jolting scene right out of  “The Dark Knight Rises,” a host of baddies will swoop down on our innocent guests during a high-society dinner party, jostling and jeering the Silicon Valley elite in hopes of provoking the Caped Crusader to action.

It’s all part of the fun during another over-the-top, movie-themed soiree at The Tech Museum; this one “An Evening at Wayne Manor.” Guests lucky enough to have purchased tickets to the (now) sold-out midnight premiere and the 3 a.m. show have exclusive entry.

This time around, guests – who will line up on the red carpet under bright spotlights featuring the iconic Bat Signal – will be treated to a premiere party complete with fountains oozing dark (knight) chocolate beneath chandelier-type hanging lights. Hors d'oeuvres will be served on silver platters by butlers channeling their very best Alfred Pennyworth impressions and classical music will fill the room, which overlooks a vibrant, bustling Gotham City backdrop.

Then, at the appointed hour, a rogue troupe of costumed villains will surprise our guests, storming the elegantly decorated room, wreaking havoc. The characters will perform a specially choreographed dance and then, just as mysteriously as they appeared, they will disappear – in flash mob style.

And in true The Tech Museum party fashion, guests will compete for Batman-themed prizes, score free giveaways and take pictures with life-size cardboard standees.

Silicon Valley’s largest Batman-themed premiere party. More than 500 guests are expected to the attend the party before the midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises.” Costumed characters drop in for a flash-mob inspired dance and guests are treated to chocolate fountains and hors d’oeuvres.

The Tech Museum, 201 S. Market St., San Jose, CA

Doors open at 10 p.m. sharp.

** Eds: The midnight show has sold out. Slightly more than 100 tickets are left for the 3 a.m. show. Friday’s 9:30 p.m. show has also sold out.
