SAN JOSE, CA – The Tech Café presented by Lunch with Tony located at The Tech Museum of Innovation today celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting hosted by the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce Convention-Visitors Bureau and San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce. The new Tech Café presented by Lunch with Tony, with its own entrance on Market Street across from Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park, offers downtown San Jose residents, professionals and visitors fresh and made-from-scratch meals that are tasty, fast and affordable.

“The Tech holds a lot of significance in my life. I grew up coming here as a student; I was an employee in my mid-twenties; and I even met my wife while working here. It’s surreal how things have come full circle. I’m honored to be back onsite as the owner of Lunch with Tony with a new presence in downtown San Jose,” said Owner and Chef Tony Santos. “You don’t need a ticket to visit our café. We want this to be a community gathering place where we welcome everyone living, working and playing in downtown San Jose to experience what we can offer. I relish the opportunity to bring together my Lunch with Tony style and the learning institution that has meant a lot in my life.”

“The Tech Café presented by Lunch with Tony is a great fit for The Tech family. Tony approaches the Café with the same contemporary and creative lens that we do here at The Tech,” said Tim Ritchie, president of The Tech Museum of Innovation. “We welcome Tony and his team and look forward to our community enjoying the new Café alongside our exhibits and IMAX films for an immersive Silicon Valley experience.”

Bright and sleek, the Café welcomes those who need to recharge between galleries or before their IMAX show time. The modern space features abundant seating inside and out, and the walls are decorated in a mix of Silicon Valley-themed images and student projects created within the museum and the community at large. Open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Café complements the museum experience with food choices based on current museum exhibits, including a variety of healthy kid and adult options. The lunch menu features a wide variety of Tony’s hand-touched hot and cold dishes. Toasty paninis, freshly tossed salads, burgers, pasta and kid choices. Tony prides himself on from-scratch offerings such as soups, salad dressings, sauces, even down to the croutons and candied walnuts on salads. Breakfast options include an espresso bar with local artisan beans, from-scratch pastries and fresh fruits, plus our breakfast sammy and linguiça sausage breakfast burrito.

The Tech Café presented by Lunch with Tony, located at The Tech Museum of Innovation in downtown San Jose, is owned and operated by Chef Tony Santos. Santos also owns Lunch with Tony in Alviso and Tony Caters, specializing in corporate catering and special events for one or more. Santos believes in offering a mix of quality, speed, price and service that you cannot pass up. For more information visit or Lunch with Tony on Facebook.
