Make a Splash with Color

This exhibit has three main sections: Talking about Color, The Lighter Side of Color, and An Eye on Color.

Talking about Color When we think of color, we think of reds, yellows, greens, blues, and many more. However, there are other ingredients in a color. For example, how bright or dark a color is. You might want a dark green shirt to go with your faded blue jeans. This is what Talking about Color is all about.
The Lighter Side of Color Light comes to our eyes in different ways. Sometimes it comes directly from things like a TV. Other times it comes from things like the sun bouncing off the grass and trees. Even other times light gets to our eyes and changes color after it passes through something like our sunglasses. This is what The Lighter Side of Color is all about.
An Eye on Color The eye is a very complicated machine with lots of special parts. Light enters and travels through our eyes, and then messages go out the back of the eye to the brain. These messages create colors in our mind. Usually our eyes see colors correctly. But sometimes we can trick our eyes. Understanding your eyes is what An Eye on Color is all about.

Now that you know what's ahead, let's talk about color.
