Every year the Santa Cruz County students of Spring Hill School try to change their world. The students think of a problem and find a way to solve it. The young inventors are in grades Kindergarten through Eighth. In the search to solve a problem, they are encouraged to put their ideas, creations, or prototypes on display at the annual Spring Hill School Invention Convention. Judges spend a whole morning selecting projects in the following categories: The Bright Idea, The Klutz Pick, and It Really Works. The selected inventions are invited to be presented in The Tech Awards Gallery at The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose. This creative event has been celebrated for 16 consecutive years.
