The Tech Studio is a collaborative design space inside the museum! Visitors are invited to participate in our daily guided programs or weekend workshops (registration required for some workshops). Tech Studio programs and workshops are related to STEM learning and engineering design, while also reflecting the spirit of Silicon Valley and the maker movement.
The space is also used by our Exhibit and Education staff to prototype and develop new exhibits and workshops, often using digital fabrication tools like 3D printers and CNC routers. Visitors can see first-hand the how The Tech creates new exhibits and workshops – and be among the first to test them. Prototyping sessions are scheduled as needed; if you are interested in participating, please subscribe to our newsletter
If there are no special programs or workshops, guests are invited into the space to explore their creative side with self-guided activities from our Open Design series, combining creativity and construction.
