Green Apples (2006) is an electroacoustic instrument that reveals how big sounds can spring from small places. Gently pluck the metal coils and tap the steel structure to hear tiny sounds live large. The “wobble-vision” monitor translates the sounds you create into patterns of swirling phosporescent light.
Created by Sudhu Tewari.
Created with Colander, springs, electronics, modified CRT (wobblevision), small table.
Originally created in residency at Recology in San Francisco in 2006 entirely from discarded materials, or other people’s trash.
