Think Pink! Barbie Comes to The Tech Interactive’s IMAX® Theater for 7 Days Only
See the Biggest Movie of the Summer on the Biggest Screen!
September 5, 2023, San Jose, CA — It’s ok to wear pink after labor day! Audiences are in for a cinematic experience like no other as a 62-foot-tall Barbie struts her stuff onto the West Coast’s largest screen at The Tech Interactive’s IMAX Dome Theater for one week only, starting September 22.
In addition to experiencing Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Barbie” for the first time in IMAX, audiences will be treated to new, exclusive post-credit footage selected by the film’s director, Greta Gerwig, who now holds the record as the only solo woman director to surpass $1 billion at the global box office.
Says The Tech’s President and CEO, Katrina Stevens, “We are beyond thrilled to bring Barbie to the big screen at our IMAX theater. This empowering movie has sparked important conversations about the evolving image of Barbie and what she means to women of all ages. Barbie stars Oscar-nominees Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, alongside America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Ariana Greenblatt, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell. The film also stars Ana Cruz Kayne, Emma Mackey, Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Scott Evans, Jamie Demetriou, Connor Swindells, Sharon Rooney, Nicola Coughlan, Ritu Arya, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Dua Lipa and Oscar-winner Helen Mirren. Gerwig directed Barbie from a screenplay by Gerwig & Oscar nominee Noah Baumbach, based on Barbie by Mattel.
