August 26, 2024, San Jose, CA — The Tech Interactive, the world-renowned science, technology, and education center in downtown San Jose, is excited to invite dinosaur fans to its first-ever T.REX Takeover this Labor Day weekend! This three-day event will feature interactive dino-themed activities for visitors of all ages. Highlights include screenings of the new IMAX film "T.REX," presentations and Q&A sessions with renowned paleontologist Dr. Tyler Lyson, an entertaining "Dino Fight Night," and a variety of fun-filled fossil labs and experiences.

When: Saturday, August 31 - Monday, September 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Daily IMAX Screenings of "T.REX": Immerse yourself in the true story of the young fossil hunters who discovered a rare juvenile T.Rex fossil in North Dakota. View trailer.
• Ask a Paleontologist: Dig into the fascinating world of paleontology with the acclaimed star of “T.REX,” Dr. Tyler Lyson! Saturday at 12 p.m. following the 11 a.m. screening of “T.REX”. 
• Dino Fight Night: Join paleontologists Dr. Tyler Lyson and Dr. Nathan Smith for a thrilling discussion on which dinosaurs would win in a fight, moderated by award-winning author/illustrator Ted Rechlin. Saturday at 5 p.m.; $27 for members, $30 for non-members.
• Screenings of “The Land Before Time”: Watch "The Land Before Time" while building your own dinosaur skeleton for an interactive, inspired experience. Free with museum admission. Note: this film will not take place in IMAX.
• Roar and Tell: Hear fascinating stories from a local paleontologist and marvel at their extraordinary personal collection of fossils! Daily from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
• Hands-On Activities: Enjoy fossil tracing, dino egg bath bomb creation, and other exciting workshops designed for all ages.
