Why should I join?
The purpose of the Tech’s Educator Advisory Committee is to engage educators in the prototyping and iteration process behind new programs, exhibits, and/or operational experiences related to the educational experience at The Tech Interactive.
Participants will not only engage in new experiences before anyone else, they will also provide critical feedback to shape the development of these experiences. Your participation on this committee will help shape the future of The Tech’s field trip programs and resources as we work to continue evolving to meet the ever changing needs of California educators.

Who can participate?
We are looking for 30-40 educators and/or administrators from the surrounding Bay Area who are passionate about STEM education. Participants should have a desire to contribute to The Tech’s field trip programming development which will benefit students and teachers for years to come. Participants would fall into one of the following categories:
- K-12 classroom educators and administrators who represent:
- Different socio-economic groups
- Different types of schools (charter, public, private, alternative, etc.)
- Classroom educators, resource educators, and paraeducators
- Tech Academy teachers, principals, etc.
- Teachers that use different Tech programs (Professional Development only or field trips only, etc.)
- Out-of-school educators or administrators
- Other community education organizations
Time Commitment
- Minimum of one-year commitment to the committee.
- Participation in 2-3 online surveys (no more than 15 minutes each).
- Participation in quarterly meetings at The Tech:
- Thursday November 7 2024, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (tentative, date subject to change)
- Thursday January 30, 2025, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (tentative, date subject to change)
- Thursday May 15, 2025, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.. (tentative, date subject to change
- Each meeting will be approximately 2 hours in length
- Refreshments will be provided
- Parking expenses will be covered by The Tech
