The Tech Challenge Final Showcase is the program’s big finale, a weekend during which teams interview with judges, demonstrate their devices on a test rig and present their engineering journal. It is an inspiring event enjoyed by participants, advisers, family and friends!

This year’s showcase will be in-person! Final Showcase will take place Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, 2025 at South Hall, 435 S. Market Street in Downtown San Jose.

Dates and Times by Grade Division

Saturday, April 25

  • Grades 4-5:
    • Team check-in: 9 to 11 a.m.
    • Special Recognition Celebration: 1:15 to 1:45 p.m.
  • Grade 6:
    • Team check-in: 2 to 3:30 p.m.
    • Special Recognition Celebration: 4:30 to 5 p.m

Sunday, April 26

  • Grades 9-12:
    • Team check-in: 10 to 11:30 a.m.
    • Special Recognition Celebration: 12:30 to 1 p.m.
  • Grades 7-8:
    • Team check-in: 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
    • Special Recognition Celebration: 4 to 4:30 p.m

To facilitate a smooth entry process, please sign your team up to arrive within a specific time frame using our Showcase Weekend: Entry Sign-Up Form. This isn’t meant to be a rigid process, but to help our staff anticipate and manage the flow of teams as smoothly as possible. Entry times are not guaranteed.

Journal Submission

Teams must submit a digital copy of their Team Journal using the Team Journal Submission link by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, April 23.

Safety Plan Checklist

Construction sites need to have a safety plan to ensure that all the workers know how to use the equipment safely and protect themselves. So at the Showcase this year, we are having all teams fill out a Safety Plan checklist. Download and complete it ahead of time or plan to fill it out at the event.

2026 Recognition Pins

This year we are recognizing every team that met the criteria for the challenge. We will be distributing a variety of pins to each team in the following categories. We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of each team and reflecting on what they learned.
