Select Wednesdays created especially for curious homeschoolers.

The Tech Interactive has launched Homeschool Days, special Wednesday programs built with homeschooling families in mind. These select dates provide a flexible, enriching experience featuring hands-on activities, guided labs, and engaging STEAM demonstrations.
This Homeschool Day Includes:
- Full access to all exhibits for self-guided exploration
- Mini STEAM demonstrations throughout the day led by The Tech’s education team
- Access to a Drop-In Labs, where students can explore open-ended science and engineering activities at their own pace
- Special workshops just for Homeschool families
PLUS, access to free downloadable lesson plans, making it easy to extend the learning at home.

Explore the exciting world of genetics by doing experiments and activities with scientists from Stanford University.

Science of Fireworks 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. -
Squishy Circuits Workshop
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Craft a circuit using conductive dough
At home extension -
Make it Matter Science Lab
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
1st - 3rd grade focus
Play with the building blocks of the universe: matter! Students explore and experiment with the properties of matter using everyday chemicals and compounds. -
Engineering for Earthquakes Science Lab
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
4th grade and above
Construct seismically sound structures to survive the “Big One.” -
Down the Drain Science Lab
2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
3rd grade and above
Protect the planet! Design a better storm drain grate to prevent pollution from entering the watershed.
