Space: The New Frontier showing in IMAX all weekend!

See, hear, and feel our vast universe with 9,000+ square feet of wraparound image and 13,000 watts of digital surround sound. Our Dome Theater transforms space documentaries into immersive experiences. Space: The New Frontier IMAX screenings included with admission, May 1-3.

    Ever wondered what being on Mars would be like? The Mars Pod gives you hands-on Mars exploration experiences you can't get anywhere else in the Bay Area. Perfect for future astronauts and space enthusiasts ages 8 and up.

  • Hands-on Space Activities

    The Tech Studio, Lower Level

    Don’t just look at space, make it. Fold spacecraft, satellites, and rockets. Design and create postcards destined for space. Build space-themed designs to take home. All hands-on activities are included with Space Weekend admission.

  • Jet Pack Chair Send-Off Celebration

    The Jet Pack Chair is retiring this summer to make way for a NEW experience. Space Exploration Weekend marks the first of many events to celebrate this beloved exhibit. Experience the thrill of flying around with a laser and rack up points. We're running daily leaderboards all weekend. Get competitive and have fun!
