Getting to The Tech is easy. The museum is located in downtown San Jose, CA at the corner of Park Avenue and Market Street, near Interstate 280 and Highway 87. Our mango and azure building is hard to miss!

There is additional parking downtown that does not provide a flat discount for The Tech, but may be validated up to 2 hours. Select public downtown lots are free on the weekends before 6 p.m. For more information visit the San Jose Downtown Parking website.Discounted, validated parking is available at the Convention Center Garage (enter at Market and San Salvador additional parking at Second and San Carlos Streets Garage (enter the 5-story structure from Second or Third Streets). With validation, parking will be $5.00 (except when special event pricing is in effect). Bring your parking ticket to The Tech Museum for validation. Parking at the Convention Center Garage is not free and is only discounted with museum validation. Additional non-validated parking is available downtown.
On weekends, discounted all day parking is available at the Cityview Plaza Garage (Enter on Park Ave. or Almaden Blvd). The gargage is just across the street from the Tech with the entrance on Park Avenue.
Weekday Cityview parking validation is only valid when you arrive at the Cityview Plaza Garage after 5 p.m.

Highway 101 (from the south)
Take 101 N to 280 N towards downtown San Jose. Continue 4 miles to Guadalupe Parkway (Highway 87) and exit going north. Go 1/4 mile to the Santa Clara Street exit. Turn right on Santa Clara. Go 5 lights, turn right on Market Street. Go down 2 blocks; the museum is on the right, at the corner of Park Avenue and Market Street.
Highway 101 (from the north)
Take 101 S; to Guadalupe Parkway (HWY 87) and exit going south. Continue 4 miles to Park Avenue/San Carlos Street exit. Turn left on Park. The Tech Museum is on the corner of Park Avenue and Market Street.
Highway 280/680 (both directions)
From 280/680 take Guadalupe Parkway (Highway 87) going north. Go 1/4 mile to the Santa Clara Street exit. Turn right on Santa Clara. Go 5 lights to Market Street and turn right. Go 2 blocks; the museum is on the right, at the corner of Park Avenue and Market Street.
Take the Coleman Avenue exit and turn left. Drive 3 miles, where it will turn into Market Street. Once you cross Santa Clara Street, The Tech Museum will be 2 blocks down on the right, at the corner of Park Avenue and Market Street.
Take 280 S to Guadalupe Parkway (Highway 87) going north. Exit Santa Clara Street and turn right. Go 5 lights to Market Street and turn right. Go 2 blocks; the museum is on the right, at the corner of Park Avenue and Market Street.
From the San Jose Airport
Follow signs to Highway 87 South/Guadalupe. It will be a right out of the airport complex. Continue on 87 South. Exit Park Avenue/San Carlos Street. Turn left on Park. The Tech Museum is on the corner of Park Avenue and Market Street.
VTA Light Rail
To visit The Tech Museum, disembark at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center stop and walk east to Market Street and north 1 block on Market Street to Park Avenue.
Light rail service is provided 7 days a week. Purchase tickets from machines located at the light rail stations. VTA Day Passes are also valid on light rail. For more information visit the VTA website or call (408) 321-2300.

Caltrain and Capitol Corridor
To visit The Tech Museum, disembark at the San Jose Diridon Station, walk east on San Fernando Street (approximately 5 blocks), turn right on Market Street and walk 1 block. The Tech Museum is on the right corner.
On weekdays, there is free morning and afternoon shuttle service between the station and downtown. For schedule information, see the San Jose Downtown Area Shuttle (DASH) information on the VTA website.
The Caltrain ride from San Francisco takes approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes. Purchase tickets at the station. Exact change is not required. Cash only; no credit cards accepted. From Fremont BART station, take the VTA Express Bus 180, disembark in downtown San Jose at Almaden Avenue and San Fernando Street. Then walk east 1 block, turn right on Market Street and walk 1 block to Park Avenue.
