Senior Managing Director brings more than 20 years of experience in artificial intelligence, enterprise transformation, and global technology leadership

Sept. 16, 2026, San Jose, CA — The Tech Interactive, San Jose’s science center, today announced that Francesca Mazzoleni, senior managing director at Accenture, has joined its board of directors. Mazzoleni brings more than 20 years of experience across enterprise transformation, artificial intelligence, consulting, consumer goods, and the technology industry.

At Accenture, Mazzoleni leads the U.S. Communications, Media & High-Tech Industries Technology practice, overseeing work across consulting, systems integration, cloud, data, and AI. She also advises boards and executive teams on large-scale technology and AI-driven transformation.

“Francesca brings deep technical expertise, global perspective, and a genuine commitment to helping more young people see themselves as innovators,” said Katrina Stevens, president and CEO of The Tech Interactive. “As AI continues to shape how we learn, work, and create, we need more people asking who gets access, who gets to participate, and who gets to shape what comes next. Francesca will be an important partner in that work.”

Mazzoleni said her decision to join The Tech’s board reflects a belief that access and participation must remain at the center of technological progress.

“I have spent my career at the intersection of technology and transformation, and I have always believed that the most important question is not what technology can do, but who gets access to it and who gets to shape it,” Mazzoleni said. “The Tech is doing the hard, joyful work of making sure the next generation, especially young girls, grows up seeing themselves as builders, inventors, and problem-solvers.”

Before her current role at Accenture, Mazzoleni served as global chief digital officer at Campari Group, where she established the company’s first Office of Digital Transformation and led digital strategy across 190 countries. Earlier, she served as vice president of IT for North America at Campari and began her career at Accenture in Milan and Boston.

A recognized thought leader in generative AI and agentic AI, Mazzoleni represents Accenture at global industry forums and is an annual visiting speaker at UC Santa Barbara on artificial intelligence. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan and was a visiting researcher at Drexel University.

Mazzoleni’s appointment supports The Tech Interactive’s mission to inspire the innovator in everyone by creating hands-on, inclusive experiences that help people build confidence, curiosity, and agency around science and technology.
