Tech at Nite: SPACE OUT!

Tech at Nite is an adults-only (21+) evening event at The Tech Interactive in downtown San Jose, California.

Unlike traditional museum visits, Tech at Nite transforms The Tech Interactive into downtown San Jose's most unique nightlife destination, offering an alternative to typical bars and restaurants with creative, interactive experiences you can't find anywhere else in the Bay Area.

Music and sounds by Universal Grammar DJs:
Dance and enjoy music throughout the evening, intentionally curated by local DJ Chale Brown and Zuri Alexa of Universal Grammar. 

Moon Phase Art Workshop by Local Color: Create your own moon phase artwork in this guided art workshop facilitated by Local Color San Jose. Paint the lunar cycle with expert instruction. This interactive workshop combines astronomy and creativity, and you'll take home your finished cosmic artwork.

Wine & Flavor Lab by J. Lohr Vineyards: Enjoy complimentary wine tastings throughout the evening, hosted by J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines. Discover what makes wine complex, develop your palate, and explore flavor profiles in this interactive tasting experience. Wine tastings are included with your Tech at Nite admission.

DIY Lightsaber Building Workshop: Build your own working lightsaber and take it home. Choose from red, blue, or green lightsaber colors and assemble your creation with guidance from The Tech Interactive staff.

Full Access to The Tech Interactive Exhibits: Your Tech at Nite ticket includes after-hours access to all permanent exhibits. Explore hands-on science and technology exhibits in a more relaxed, adults-only environment, free of daytime crowds.

Food and beverages are available for purchase. Wine tasting by J. Lohr Vineyards is complimentary and included with your ticket.

Generally, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing suitable for hands-on activities. You'll be painting, building, and creating, so avoid anything too precious. Dressy-casual night-out attire is perfect.

That said, we always encourage dressing up in theme! Get creative. Get weird. Get Tech-y! 

Absolutely! Tech at Nite welcomes solo attendees. Previous solo visitors have reported easily connecting with other attendees and enjoying the community atmosphere. The workshop format makes it easy to meet people naturally. 

Most attendees stay 2-3 hours, but you're welcome to stay for the full 4-hour event (7:00-11 PM). There's no rush! Explore at your own pace.
