The Tech Interactive is currently recruiting educators for our Educator Advisory Committee, a group of 30-40 educators who will contribute insight, expertise, and feedback to improve the overall experience for students and educators visiting The Tech.

Who can participate?

We are looking for 30-40 educators and/or administrators from the surrounding Bay Area who are passionate about STEM education. Participants should have a desire to contribute to The Tech’s field trip programming development which will benefit students and teachers for years to come.  Participants would fall into one of the following categories:

  • K-12 classroom educators and administrators who represent:
    • Different socio-economic groups
    • Different types of schools (charter, public, private, alternative, etc.)
    • Classroom educators, resource educators, and paraeducators
    • Tech Academy teachers, principals, etc.
    • Teachers that use different Tech programs (Professional Development only or field trips only, etc.)
  • Out-of-school educators or administrators
  • Other community education organizations

Time Commitment

  • Minimum of one-year commitment to the committee.
  • Participation in 2-3 online surveys (no more than 15 minutes each).
  • Participation in quarterly meetings at The Tech
    • Each meeting will be approximately 2 hours in length
    • Light refreshments will be provided
    • Parking expenses will be covered by The Tech
    • Thursday October 23, 2025,  5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (tentative, date subject to change)
    • Thursday February 12, 2026, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (tentative, date subject to change)
    • Thursday May 14, 2026, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.. (tentative, date subject to change)
