Chaperones

- Standard chaperone ticket cost is $20 and includes general admission.
- Chaperone tickets for Robotics programs also include admission to the IMAX film “Cities of the Future”. These tickets are $24 each.
- A chaperone ticket does not guarantee access to the classrooms. You may only enter a classroom if you are an adult authorized by the Girl Scouts (troop leader or troop parent).
- The Tech Interactive follows the chaperone ratio required by Girl Scouts of America. Due to room capacities, chaperone numbers beyond the recommended ratio may not be accommodated in the program. Please consult with your troop to determine who will chaperone the program.
- Daisies: 1 chaperone per 3 Girl Scouts
- Brownies: 1 chaperone per 6 Girl Scouts
- Juniors: 1 chaperone per 8 Girl Scouts
- Cadettes: 1 chaperone per 10 Girl Scouts

Girl Scout Program: Robo-Designer (Daisies, Brownies and Juniors)

Hands-on robotics experience at The Tech Interactive where Girl Scouts explore how robots work, design and build their own creations, and learn STEM skills like sensors, problem-solving, and coding.
Daisy: Learn about different robots, then brainstorm, design, and build their own robot.Brownie: Explore robot types and how robots use sensors, then design and build their own.
Junior: Learn how robots work, write simple algorithms, and code a real robot.
Tickets include full-day admission to The Tech Interactive, the Cities of the Future IMAX film, the relevant badge(s), and a Tech fun patch.

Girl Scout Program: Home Scientist (Brownies)

The Tech Interactive
Science is all around us! Brownies begin by making pepper dance using the amazing properties of electricity. Next, they become kitchen chemists and use pantry items to make art with delicious treats. Then they explore properties of density and use them to blow up a balloon without breath and make their own lava lamp. Finally, Brownies will learn how science can be used to make toys and make their very own silly putty!
This program covers all five steps required to earn the Home Scientist Badge. Participants will receive the badge and a Tech fun patch at the end of the session.

Girl Scout Program: Roller Coaster Design Challenge (Daisies)

Discover the thrills, science, and creativity of roller coaster design in our newest badge program. Daisies will have the opportunity to design and build their own simple roller coaster cart, construct a model of their own roller coaster, and test their creation.
This program covers all three steps required to earn the Roller Coaster Design Daisy badge. Participants will receive the badge and Tech fun patch at the end of the session.

Girl Scout Program: Tech Detective (Juniors and Cadettes)

Do you have what it takes to be a Tech Detective? Juniors and Cadettes will begin by practicing the art of forensic drawing by sketching a “suspect” as described by a “key witness.” Next, they learn about & practice codes and fingerprinting. Juniors will explore the role of DNA in forensics — what it is, what it does, and how it helps solve crimes. They then get to perform an experiment to extract real DNA, and finally use what they have learnt to identify someone from ancient DNA!
This program covers all five steps required to earn the Juniors Detective badge or the Cadette Special Agent badge. Participants will receive the badge and a Tech fun patch at the end of the session. -
Girl Scout Program: Amusement Innovator (Juniors)

Are you ready to design your own entertainment company? Juniors begin by animating their own artwork, then learning about video game design. They'll then build prototypes of roller coasters to learn the science behind the screams. Finally, Juniors make their own 3-D images & glasses, and experiment with sound.
This program covers all five steps required to earn the Entertainment Technology badge. Participants will receive the badge and a Tech fun patch at the end of the session.
