The Tech Interactive is located in the heart of downtown San Jose at the corner of Park Avenue and Market Street, near Interstate 280 and Highway 87. Our mango and azure building is hard to miss!
By Car
There are numerous parking garages and lots near the center.
By Public Transit
Just a 5-minute walk from the VTA Convention Center light rail and bus stops.
By Bike
There are ample public bike racks on site.
Downtown San Jose has plenty of parking options for visitors to the Tech Interactive. The Tech Interactive offers parking validation to visitors at the parking garages San Jose McEnery Convention Center and 2nd and San Carlos Garage. For more information, visit San Jose Downtown Parking.
Validated Parking:

Validated parking is available for $5 at participating garages. Bring your parking ticket to The Tech Interactive for validation, then pay at the garage’s payment machine before exiting. Please note that validation is not available when the City of San Jose imposes a special event parking fee. Other parking options are available throughout downtown.
Accessible parking for visitors with disabilities is available near the main entrance on South Market Street. For more information about special needs, click here.
Public transportation
The Tech Interactive is conveniently located next to VTA stops for both the light rail and the bus. The closest light rail stop is Convention Center Station.
Caltrain Capitol Corridor and ACE
Take Caltrain, Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor, or ACE (Central Valley) to San Jose Diridon Station at 65 Cahill St. The Tech Interactive is less than a 20-minute walk from the station.
Take BART to Berryessa/North San Jose Station. Transfer to VTA’s Rapid 500 bus toward San Jose Diridon Station, and get off at Santa Clara St. and 1st Street. Walk south on 1st Street, turn right on San Carlos Street, and continue one block to The Tech Interactive.
