The Interactive is a fantastic place for a large party: Three-levels can accommodate up to 2,500 guests on a large, adaptable floor plan. Plus we're located in the heart of Downtown San Jose, just steps away from public transit, the San Jose McEnery Convention Center and several major hotels.

The Interactive also has flexible spaces that make events of all sizes feel at home. You can reserve The Interactive lobby, exhibit galleries, IMAX Dome Theater or rooftop terrace, which features stunning views of downtown landmarks. New Venture Hall/Lobby

A flexible space that is easily accessible on the ground level. Ideal for both daytime and evening events — everything from panel discussions to proms. This space can accommodate a dancefloor, arcade games, cocktail reception, and more.

IMAX Dome Theater

The most immersive theater experience lives at The Tech and can add an amazing dimension to your event.

Rooftop Terrace

The Bowers Institute

Located around the corner from The Tech Interactive, The Bowers Institute offers built-in audiovisual systems that make this room a great option for your next offsite meeting or client presentation. The space can be set up in various ways and can accommodate up to 80 seated and 100 standing.

Daytime Meeting and Event Options

We are pleased to offer our Bowers Institute, IMAX Dome Theater, and New Venture Hall for daytime business meetings and events.

The Bowers Institute
Located around the corner from The Tech Interactive, The Bowers Institute offers built-in audiovisual systems perfect for your next offsite meeting or client presentation. This flexible space can accommodate up to 80 seated and 100 standing.

IMAX Dome Theater
Renovated in 2018, The Tech Interactive’s IMAX Dome Theater is home to the world’s first laser projector for an IMAX dome. It features a four-story hemispherical screen that puts you in the center of the action. The theater is an incredible canvas for any event and can be reserved exclusively for a performance, presentation or private film viewing. The IMAX can seat 280.

New Venture Hall
A fully customizable space with options for theater and classroom seating, New Venture Hall is ideal for daytime events including presentations, panel discussions, networking sessions and workshops. The Hall can fit up to 350 theater-style, 160 classroom, 250 at rounds, and 400 standing.
