Parking: The Tech validates $5 parking ALL NIGHT in these designated lots. Start your night at The Tech and then explore more of the Downtown San Jose nightlife!

What is Tech at Nite?
Tech at Nite is an adults-only (21+) evening event at The Tech Interactive in downtown San Jose, California.
Unlike traditional museum visits, Tech at Nite transforms The Tech Interactive into downtown San Jose's most unique nightlife destination, offering an alternative to typical bars and restaurants with creative, interactive experiences you can't find anywhere else in the Bay Area.
Is there a dress code?
There's no formal dress code. Many guests dress up for the theme, but jeans and sneakers are welcome too.
What do I need to bring to prove I'm 21?
A valid, government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or ID card) is required at the door for every guest. No ID, no entry, no exceptions.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely! Tech at Nite welcomes solo attendees. Previous solo visitors have reported easily connecting with other attendees and enjoying the community atmosphere. The workshop format makes it easy to meet people naturally.
What is included in VIP?
VIP includes everything in General Admission, plus access to our VIP rooftop lounge, two drink tickets (beer and wine only), dedicated line entry to the event, exclusive Beer Koozie workshop, and a free pour of J. Lohr Wine.
What if I want to upgrade to VIP?
Yay! If you have already purchased a General Admission and wish to upgrade to VIP, we recommend the following:
- Before event day: Contact us at info@thetech.org, and we can process a refund and repurchase manually.
- On event day: When you arrive, go to the admissions desk, and they can process your order.
Is there food available?
Yes, you can buy food and beverages in our Tech Cafe, which includes small grab-and-go items and some light snacks.
How long should I plan to stay?
Most attendees stay 2-3 hours, but you're welcome to stay for the full 4-hour event (7:00-11 PM). There's no rush! Explore at your own pace.
