2025-26 Laureates

The Tech for Global Good program celebrates innovators using technology to tackle big challenges in our world.  In 2025-26, four laureates are honored for creating innovative technologies that connect with the way we think, move and communicate, enabling more mindful, empowered and independent lives for millions of people.

Cognixion

Presented by NetApp

What they do: Cognixion is pioneering noninvasive brain-computer interfaces that unlock communication and control for people with complex disabilities. Bridging neuroscience, AI and accessibility to improve lives and advance human potential.

BCI Pioneer Coalition

Presented by: Patrick J. McGovern Foundation

What they do: BCI Pioneers Coalition offers transformative potential to improve countless lives. Led by the world’s first implantable research participants, the group works to establish a set of ethics, guidelines and best practices for future patients to advance the widespread, ethical adoption of brain computer interfaces for individuals with disabilities.

NexStride

 

What they do: NexStride has brought users a way to regain mobility and independence . Their portable device, attached to a cane or walker, uses light and sound cues to override mobility challenges associated with Parkinson’s, stroke and multiple sclerosis. The device restores the ability to walk with confidence.

Sanmai Technologies

 

What they do: Sanmai Technologies is creating a new category of accessible brain therapeutics. Using low-intensity transcranial ultrasound to complement meditation and other wellness practices, these neurotherapies bring a path to increased wellbeing.
